Meet The Team
We bring our passion, energy, and inspiration to every field we touch.
Ewan, known as "Coach Mac" played locally in Charlotte, competing for almost every club team in the greater Charlotte Area during his time on the club circuit. Ewan attended Hough High School, helping lead them to a State Championship appearance in 2020/21. Ewan attended Cabrini University and played for the former NCAA D3 National Champions during 2022/23. He has since moved back to Charlotte to complete his degree at Queen's University of Charlotte.
Ewan was inspired to co-found Pinpoint Lacrosse from his time coaching youth players in the area. Seeing the talent level and coaching content disparity between Charlotte and other lacrosse hot-beds drew him to find a solution for creating a place for athletes to soak in as much high-level content as possible.
Blake has had a love for lacrosse since he could remember. Born and raised just outside of Boston, Mass. Competing on the club circuit for Coyotes Lacrosse (MA) and playing for Hopedale High School, a team his family founded, Blake found himself committing to Lincoln Memorial University, at the time a D2 powerhouse, during a strenuous COVID year where most teams were questioning whether they would hold any events the next year. Blake has since transferred to UNC Charlotte where he has since earned two All-American honors and a Conference Player of the Year award in the MCLA D2.

Why We Brought In Dylan:
I (Ewan) have called Dylan a friend for several years now. While we played on teams for "24/7" only a year a part I didn't grow close to Dylan until after our playing time around each other was over. I'm astounded by the level of technicality Dylan brings to the stripe. An absolute guru of anything face-off related. I have watched Dylan transform athletes of all ages into machines at the X. Dylans' on field "nose to the grindstone" attitude feeds right into his coaching. He demonstrates, passion, and true care and value for the craft that is the "Face off". Nobody else I'd rather bring on board.
Why We Brought In Noah: I (Ewan) had the blessing of Coaching Noah during my tenure at LKN Charter. During that time, McGovern, as well as a small group of our Varsity players would join me in coaching the Middle School team. They didn't know it but I was watching how they all interacted, coached, and mentored the younger players. Noah's maturity and clarity when communicating were evident. He helped a younger goalie take huge strides in his game throughout just the few short practices "Gov" was able to work with him. McGovern showcased the same abilities during team film sessions, as well as practices where him and I woudl breakdown goalie play, his thoughts and processes seeing certain shots, etc. As a coach this ijsight from a position I have little expiriencing coaching signifiicantly effected how I personally view the art of shooting. An absolute beast on the field and one h*lll of a leader. I can't wait to see how McGovern effects our athletes at Pinpoint.
